At the church where I actually go, if I got up in front of the congregation and read my article, the responses would probably range from, "You mean you just figured that out?" to "You do you." In fact, if I said, "I think this is all bullshit, but I like the music and the ceremony," they would still be happy to accept my money. No one would bat an eyelash. It's an "open table" so I'd still be welcome to the Eucharist.
