Before I retired I actually enjoyed reading them. They help keep me abreast of new developments in my field, and as a knowledge worker I at least had sense enough to realize that I needed to possess the latest knowledge if I wanted to keep my sorry ass employed. Plus some of the writers were not half bad, and I enjoyed my work so I enjoyed reading about it.
