Curation is such a mystery. Did they send you an email? In my case I’ve been curated 5x, but only on two did they email me. I didn’t even know about my first curation for like 6 months. I kept seeing, following my responses, a piece I wrote on New Year’s Day of this past year, called A Place in the Choir along with 2 other seemingly random things by other people. Anyway, I got so sick of seeing A Place in the Choir that I started a help ticket asking why this was so, and could I control it in some way to get something more recent to show? They responded with a long and rather nice email explaining what was going on, and pointing to the curation guidelines, &c.

It took a while but now I have 5 curations, as I think I said: The aforementioned plus Little Bird Little bird, Further Conversations With eR28sEnfOI, It’s Not About Fighting, and On the Way Back from the CVS My Brain Falls Apart.

Curation is almost always a surprise, for me anyway. When I submitted It’s Not About Fighting to Crow’s Feet I was thinking to myself, “I guess this is OK.” Only Further Conversations is curated under fiction. Only for that one and for It’s Not About Fighting did I receive an email notification. At least eR28sEnfOI, one of my favorite children, got a curate so if I get hit a bus today I’ll die happy. Speaking of, eR28sEnfOI makes a cameo in my latest. I don’t know if you saw it.

I better shut up now. I’m knocking back beers with my bandies and it’s making me long-winded.
