Definitely. Food. I made my own lunch for like 30 years. Not only that but I always had the same thing. That way I didn’t have to even think about it. I’d make a paste by combining a can of sardines with a blob of mayonnaise. If this sounds gross well I like it and I could always be sure of how much was left because my wife, daughter, and any exchange student who happened to be around wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole! I’d make two sandwiches, one out of that and a PB&J, then cut up some fruit and put it in a container. I barely noticed what it was because I never snacked at work so by lunch I was famished.

You know what? In retirement I still eat that! Except that I don’t have to put the fruit salad in a container. But that may change because I’m starting a part time adjunctship in about a week and a half. Anyway, I figured I have been healthy all these years and maybe it has something to do with the fiber and all from the fruit salad and the vitamin E from the sardines. Plus whatever magic there is in PB&Js.
