Enjoy your retirement! I've been retired since 2017 and it has exceeded my expectations for awesomeness. I think that's because I have things I love to do. From the sound of it you are covering that base. Also my relationship with my wife has become closer and deeper. I've written about that ("The Greatest Gift of All").
By the way being a machinist doesn't have to be a dead end. That's what I was. I kept advancing my education on the company dime and became a manufacturing engineer which is what I retired as. I never wanted to go into management.
No going away parties. One coworker wanted to do that but I stopped him, which turned out to be a good thing because I was sick the day of my retirement so I left at noon. A few people went out of their way to meet with me and say nice things to me.
