Every time I read something like this it reinforces me in my conviction that dropping out of Facebook was the best thing I have done for myself in the last five years, with the possible exception of retiring. Yet my profile remains, as dormant. You can check out any time you like but you can never leave. That’s another one of their “features.”

Texting, email, phone calls, letters, Zoom; all of these remain good and viable ways of staying connected with friends and family. You don’t need Facebook, unless of course you are too lazy for those other methods. Facebook is clearly 👹~of the devil~👹! Seriously though it has eroded democracy, spread conspiracy theories, hostility to truth, hostility to science, abetted violence, you name it, all while penalizing people for their lamb pictures! It is a cancer upon the earth and I would encourage everyone to just say no. Only if their bottom line is affected will they ever even think about making any meaningful changes.
