Forget that rugged individualism bullshit. We, the white people of the United States (at a bare minimum) are a massive, lumbering alcoholic drunk on racism, literally dying* for that next slug. We will never heal until we recognize that we have a problem. I am at a loss as to what to do about it, but let’s get to step 1 of the 12 shall we? Yes I did not vote for Trump either in fact I actively campaigned against him, but none of that makes me not white. And while we are here please spare me the talk about how Trump increased his margins among black and brown people. While true that is not our problem.
