Funny thing, now that I'm in my 70s I'm not. I'm afraid of suffering because who isn't but the dying part? Not so much. Because I believe God is merciful I don't believe in hell OR heaven or any afterlife at all. It's lights out.

I'd rather go out when things are good and I feel as if I've lived enough than drag my loved ones and my own ass through a lot of humiliation and misery. Life is something like Cervantes' Don Quixote. It's too long, and it contains too many cruel and tasteless jokes.
