Glancing at the claps on a few of your articles it appears that your stats are similar to mine, yet I didn’t have that experience.

I keep reading about this doomsday drop and wondering how it came about that it didn’t affect me, that is, I wasn’t walking around in November 2020 spontaneously saying WTF happened to my stats? They’ve just grown slowly and steadily since I started paywalling in 2017. Recently they’ve grown considerably, probably because I write more funny stuff, plus I became an editor on the humor pub MuddyUm, which has been rewarding and great fun. Contributors now know who I am and so are more likely to read my stuff. I almost shit when I was notified recently that one of my articles had 100 fans.

Maybe if I raked over it I’d find something but fuck it. I’m in a bit of a slump at the moment but it will pass. In the meantime I read, respond, and edit. Thankfully I don’t have to depend on those homeopathic stipends from Medium for anything. They’ve grown but still I’d starve if I had to buy groceries with that.
