Homo Sapiens sapiens constitutes both a species and a collection of individual consciousnesses. A global pandemic requires a species response. Unfortunately we are in a moment when individualism is ascendant.
Global warming, with the potential to exact far more devastating consequences, will also require a species response but judging by how we handled and are handling the pandemic we are SO FUCKED!
