I changed to Quasimodo a few months after my brother went to prison and I started transcribing and posting his prison memoirs while at the same time writing about having a brother in prison. Immediately after his incarceration I started using a different nom de plume but that need not detain us here. Because of the nature of his charges, I was concerned about maintaining his anonymity. My brother had a made-up Medium name from day one. I’ve been Quasimodo since February of 2017.
My first Medium article is from November of 2015.
The only “family member” who ever read an article of mine when not prompted by a friend link was my ex-wife who found one through my Facebook page (which I abandoned two years ago). It didn’t go well but I don’t give a good crap.
What happens in Medium stays in Medium I always say.
