I guess you would have hated me. After my divorce, which consisted of my wife & best friend turning my life into a bad country song, I had a few relationships of variable quality, ultimately meeting the woman I am still happily married to these 30 years later. Along the way I went back to school, cycled through a handful of jobs, ultimately finding a manufacturing engineering position which afforded me a stable income which paid the bills and got our daughter through school. In addition it was filled with challenges and problem solving which I had the latitude to approach creatively once I’d proven to management that they could depend on me.

But I wouldn’t say I manifested it all. More like I recognized opportunities when they were laying right in front of me. Not everyone would consider manufacturing engineering a dream job, nor my wife a supermodel. As Janice Joplin once sang, Get it While You Can.

No woman ever murdered her husband while he was washing the dishes.
