I had a racist dog once so yes they can be racist. If a Black person or couple appeared on the street she would immediately assume “guard position” in front of me. When I went around her and walked on she got over it and just walked along with me, but it was weird and embarrassing, and it left me wondering what subtle cues I was giving her that I was not even aware of.
