I only have a handful of curated articles, but I don’t worry about it much. The whole thing only confuses me more when I read an article like a recent one that I saw in the Medium Daily Digest, so I assume it was curated, and it was such a piece of shit! Starting off with “Okay, I’m just going to come right out…” and continuing with more stock phrases, usage errors, entirety unsupported “facts,” you name it. Curation is no honor much as it may feel like one and much as it may boost your stats. Just write, I say. If you love your work, believe in it.
