I quit this one choir because rehearsals always started so late. Then because it was a prayerful group there would be like 20-30 minutes of prayer after the minimum 20 minute late start because there was this one woman who would go on and on about how much Jesus loved her. Yeah, he would love you even more of you would shut the fuck up, lady.

The choir director would occasionally send out email begging everyone to please be on time because we had a performance coming up, say, that weekend. I would tell him, Michael, if you would start the rehearsals on time the late people would be embarrassed and would start showing up on time. But he wouldn't listen. The music and quality of musicianship were great but I had to quit because it just got to me.
