I started retirement doing a lot of things, but I’ve been whittling them down. The pandemic showed me the difference between what I need to do a what I think I should do. I guess there's a bright side to everything. When I start feeling like 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag I know something has to go. And I'm pretty extroverted, so I don't know if that's the source of it.
By the way I actually got COVID during delta in spite of being double vaccinated at that point. The Vs did their job though--I was sick for about a day and a half, but nonetheless I toughed out a full quarantine period. Now I'm quintupple vaccinated, having recently gotten the omacron booster. Also flu, pneumonia, and Shingrix #1, all of which burned going in, unlike the COVID vaccines, which I barely felt.
