I took out a premium NY Times subscription early in the pandemic. It cost less than we were paying for the Sunday edition only, paper. At first I could barely do the Monday (easiest) puzzle but now I charge through to Thursday, even Friday, most weeks, plus the Sunday puzzles which everyone knows about.
