I used that same pattern. I made two using needle and thread. Each one took all effing day. Then I remembered that I had a junk covered sewing machine in the house, dug it out, had it repaired, worked out a 3-ply design that used fabric much more efficiently so that I could get 4 or 5 per yard, and got into it. Now I have a clean one for every day, friend and rels have one or more from me, and I’m working on replacing the earlier ones with my new and improved design.

All that said I know what you mean. I’m retired which is no doubt the easiest way to be right about now, and I don’t have grandchildren to miss, but I’m waiting until Nov. 3rd to exhale. If we, and by that I mean white people, don’t flush the turd on November third then there is no hope for us. I’ve even signed up to make cold calls today and in the ensuing days. Wish me luck. It’s so not “me.”
