I usually let them be, same as with spiders. They feed on other bugs as well as the dead skin we shed all the time. That kind of centipede, the one in the picture, the common “house centipede” has no max size, it just gets bigger and bigger the longer it lives, like an alligator. But since they’re not immortal, there is only so much big they can get. I saw one once in the rafters of a machine shop I worked the night shift in, I swear it was as big as my hand. I might have missed it but a coworker pointed out out to me, saying, “Lookada sizea dat ‘pede!” What a guy.
