I was on a grand jury. It was nearly all first degree child molestation, with an occasional armed robbery thrown in. I had to learn the difference between first degree and other child molestation. If I people asked me about it I'd say, "You don't want to know." The cases all had a dispiriting and wearying sameness about them. It really got next to me.
