I was Wiccan during the 80s and 90s and early 00s. At Wiccan festivals, in those days at least, there was casual nudity, and the saying was, "If you can't get laid at a Pagan fest, you can't get laid."
I'm still friends with people who are involved and have been to a few small home-based events. My impression is that even large events don't swing like they used to. At one yearly event there had been established a "dark temple" devoted to exploring the religious dimension of kink. It got to be controversial because some of it spilled out and parents got tired of having to explain to their children, "Oh, he's pretending to be a horsey." while the kinkers complained their freedom was being unjustly curtailed. I stopped going around then. I was Christian then and although I liked the people it seemed increasingly pointless. My daughter kept going but the infighting got to be too much for her & she handed off her event treasurership and stopped going.
My son has a different take. I took him to fests as a child. He believes a some of the casual nudists got off on being naked around children, although he has no overtly creepy instances to report. But when as he began to enter his teens he liked observing naked women. But he recalls that overall, although he had fun at festivals, the nudity mostly embarrassed him.
