I’ll be 70 in 6 months, so it’s no longer an abstract concept.

If I get back to my dojo more often maybe I can overcome this hip pain. It’s very troubling because my high level of activity has for a long time been very important to my identity. I thought it was getting better but now I’m think more like it’s moving to the other side. To get back to the dojo more I will have to drop out of the Rhode Island Civic Chorale, which will be sad because we have a dynamic new director and we just got through two performances of Messiah which were beyond awesome. The only other way to win and additional dojo day would be to quit The Extraordinary Rendition Band, and that’s not going to happen. ERB is so much fun I can barely believe it.

Even at 70 life is about choices.
