I’m one of those who think we lay too much on parents, especially mothers, nowadays; that there are uncountable influences on human beings as they grow.

Gripping story though, and that’s what counts. It’s that universal parental nightmare, maybe the only one more frightening than them dying in any one of the myriad ways that our imagination throws at us.
