In the case of globe vs flat there is physical evidence. People have been up there, to the moon even, and looked back on the earth to behold it’s shape. Not just NASA but the Chinese too. They released a picture from the far side of the moon which includes the earth shadowed in the characteristic manner of a sphere, like a ball tossed into the air on a sunny day.
