Is there a study testing whether supplement use is correlated with negative experiences with scientific medicine? My experiences with the medical establishment have been overwhelmingly positive but that isn't the case for some people.
I know a woman who was misdiagnosed when she had Lyme disease and ended up with nerve damage which she treated by allowing honeybees to sting her at the base of her spine. This went on for at least a year. She thinks it helped. Maybe her condition improved in spite of the honeybees, but had I subjected myself to that treatment I would not want to admit that it was all for nothing.
