Puff! Puff! Do you have any idea what a ball-buster it was to tag every single one of you that I follow? Is there an easy way to do that? No matter, because I am putting together my second Medium based Zoom session, and since only a fraction of the 80 or so people I tagged in the notice for the first one actually showed, I figured it was safe to go ahead and tag everybody I follow.
Well, not every single one of the 384 of you. There were two or three names that when I saw them I said, um, no.
If I follow you it means that somewhere along the line I read at least one of your articles, stories, or poems and thought enough of it to clap for it. I may have just run across it while scrolling on Medium — one of my favorite things to do because, I don’t mind telling you, I love Medium! — and your title caught my eye, or you followed me and when I saw that I went to your profile page (Yes I actually do that when people follow me), found it not entirely taken up with self-help listicles, read one or more of your stories, articles, or poems, liked it, clapped for it, and followed back. Or ran across your empty profile page on Medium and realized that I know you in real life. That’s happened.
I do hope I will get to meet a few more of you. It would also be super sweet to see once again the people who showed up for the session that came out of Wanna Zoom.
I’m going to make it super easy this time: Just send an email to weirdacre@gmail.com with the subject line “Zoom 2” and include in the body the name that shows in big bold letters when someone visits your profile page along with your approximate geographical location
so that I can set the time of day so that it won’t be totally unreasonable for anyone. Assuming that’s possible. Last time it was.
Don’t make the superhuman effort involved in tagging all 384 of you come to nothing!
