I’ve always found it easier to be friends with women, as I mentioned in that story about the friend who died from AIDS. I never gave a shit about sports and had no interest in talking about it.

In these latter days I dropped out of the monthly Mahr/Federal retirees breakfast because I have no interest in talking about cigars, so it didn’t make the I’m-going-to-keep-doing-this-after-COVID cut.
