I’ve resisted smart speakers and voices based apps such as Google Assistant. They just seem too weird. But I get it that Google, Amazon, and the rest are scraping my data anyway, so it’s more of an emotional issue. For now I’ll just put up with whatever smart-ass wants to demonstrate his* technological supremacy by getting an answer out of Google before I even have the search bar up on my phone.
