My mom told me that carrots are good for your eyes, and that fish is "brain food." I hated fish until I started catching my own, gutting them, scaling them, frying them, and eating them. Her logic concerning carrots was that rabbits eat them and they have good eyes. I don't think she believed that. It was just bullshit to try to get us to eat those crappy carrots.
