Nothing interesting at any of my own that I can recall, but a former friend, who was working for AT&T as a 411 operator (do they still have those?) dumped a bowl of food over a co-worker's head and menaced that person with a kitchen knife at an office Christmas party. He claimed it was supposed to be a joke but no one was buying it. He appealed to his union. The best they could do for him was a transfer to an office 50 miles away but he wouldn't take it, and got fired. From then until I ghosted him, he and his family were semi-destitute.

I used to visit him but it became increasingly depressing. The place was beyond filthy, and all he ever did was complain about shit. His children moved out as soon as they could. They are doing reasonably well now.

After leaving the place I don't remember when but I think it was a couple of years before the pandemic, I asked myself, "Why are you doing this to yourself? Why are you continuing to visit this guy? The house makes you sick, and his personality has deteriorated to where he's just no fun." So I ghosted him.
