One can’t help but wonder about this, much as it brings a shudder. I’m old now so it seems obvious that I’d be even more fragile. COVID-19 seems a walk in the park.

Then there is the nascent (or not so nascent) authoritarian movement in my benighted country. How far would they go? Or would the American gulag arise from some unanticipated quarter?
