In spite of its lack of truth people who love Ayn Rand adore this quote. But we have swung so far to the side of individualism that it's now a huge problem. We find it difficult to impossible to act as a species. This accounts for why we can't get our shit together in the face of epidemics, pandemics, gun violence, and global warming. I'd blame it on Ayn Rand but, like Nietzsche's god, she's dead.
