Population decline is a natural animal response to diminishing resources or, since we are human, the perception of diminishing resources. Since capitalism depends on expansion, and population decline precludes expansion, we will have to do without capitalism. Who can imagine it, other than Marxists? We are like the medieval people who could not imagine a world that was not dominated by the church.
