Pretty cool.
One problem is that there never was a Hobbesian "state of nature" or "war of all against all." As we evolved into humans we brought pre-existing ape social structures with us, which evolved along with us into the complexities of human social life. Similar to the way light is either a particle or a wave, depending on who's looking and how, we are both individuals and ants in the nest. We both reason things out and act according to impulse. Usually reason comes after the impulsive act. Yet if we tried to reason everything out we would soon die. We would walk right off the cliff along with our internal dialog about cliffs, what makes them dangerous, should we stop now or keep walking to get a better view etc etc.
