Raw milk is one of those food fads that comes around periodically. I had a roommate back in the 1970s who brought home a carton of raw milk. I told him he was nuts, and related to him what my dad had told me about drinking raw milk, right out of the cow's teat, when he was a child crowing up in rural Maryland back in the 1930s.

He used to describe getting undulant fever (Brucellosis), and how he'd be delirious with fever, his fingers seeming to be the size of cucumbers. He first told me about that when I was seven or so, and it made an impression on me.

But no, I was the crazy one. Pasteurization drove the "goodness" out of milk. That's a scientific term, "goodness." Look it up. Do your own research.
