Shadow presidency is to become, I guess, the latest scare scenario after civil war, election violence, post-election violence, throwing it to the Supremes, etc etc to not happen. Or maybe happen. This one will take longer to play out so it’ll provide click-bait for some time to come. As I write this Trump’s scary-as-fuck legal strategy has melted along with Rudy Giuliani’s make-up.

The sad thing is that it required 1/4 million deaths to defeat this guy. Without the black swan event of the pandemic he almost certainly would have won. But he lost and it was his own stupid fault. If he had approached the pandemic with anything even remotely resembling competence, he would have been hailed as a hero. And he would not have even had to know anything. He could have said, “Hey Anthony, just tell me what the fuck to do, and I’ll tweet it out as if it was the most patriotic thing going,” leaving Democrats to push back against it somehow.

But sadly racism has enormous staying power. Having made it fashionable again, Trump will bumble his way into obscurity. Who will grab the baton? Can’t be some established politician like Ted Cruz. Tucker Carlson? Rush Limbaugh?!?!
