So what does Chambers want then? A gigantic catalog of neural states, defined at the most basic chemical level, together with the specific qualia (qualium?) that results from each one? Kind of a tall order. Maybe better to go in the other direction, as a qualium like "love" would hardly be reducible to a single neural state. (Is love one thing? Or is it more of a set of qualia?)
It's like trying to find *a* gene for "intelligence." We don't even have a clear idea of what it even is. Same thing for "love." A shitload of neuronal states, no doubt varying greatly from person to person. You would break the internet with such a catalog.
