Thank you. We need to be reminded of our common humanity. It's so easy to forget. All you who say, "THEY forgot their common humanity with US first, they deserve it, they made their choice, etc, etc," well, stop. That's the point. Shall we stop treating drug addiction because "they made their choice?" Shall we let the homeless starve because "they made their choice?" Or do we listen to the voice of our common humanity as Will Leitch exhorts us? We are all a complex tangle of choices and compulsions. It isn't always easy to see oneself in others.
