Thank you for reading and responding. I’m not so wild about this story. It’s a reduction of a story I’m preparing for a local live storytelling event called Live Bait. I think it will work much better live. Live Bait whould have worked well in my article about why Providence, Rhode Island is such a cool city but I couldn’t include everything and I was working to stay below A Few Words’ 500 word limit.

As far as numbers go it wasn’t until I was well into the engineering part of my life that managed to make friends with them and enlist them as allies.
