Unlike you, I’m stuck with the USA. I was born here and I’ll die here. Having, by means of what in retrospect looks like shear dumb luck, retired with enough to live in decency to the end of my days (baring, of course, total catastrophe) I may as well stick it out. My daughter had the opportunity to resettle abroad a few years ago, I don’t know why she didn’t take it. OTOH she’s doing OK, and seems genuinely happy.
