The earth is not flat either. Yet someone I really like, who is a fabulous, high-energy, highly motivated music director who I love working with, is a flat earther. She never mentions it during rehearsals. When she was becoming a flat earther I made the best case I could. To be a flat earther you also have to believe not only that the Apollo moon landings were fake but that every image of the earth from space by every nation which has ever made one, is fake. It's just staggering. But I just can't get enough of the choir she runs so I'm grateful she keeps it all separate. There are also anti-vaxers in this choir and I know who they are, but music brings people together.
