Two days ago found me in a limo being taken home from a performance with other members of a gospel choir I belong to. The vehicle had an excellent Bluetooth sound system. They put on what I presume was very recent music. I might mention that they are all younger than me and mostly black. I'd never heard any of the tracks before but I was grooving on them and struck by how absolutely awesome they were. They were probably by artists I'd heard of. I didn't ask are anything because it's like, this is a new generation so I will always be on the outside looking in. But the rapid-fire sing/speaking was so utterly amazing. I have new hearing aids so I was able to comprehend the lyrics. It was all so eye-opening and amazing. What artistry! I just sat there and moved with it thinking, here am I, this old white guy, and here is this wonderful world. Life amazes me still.
