We saw them in Providence during band practice, which was outdoors. The sky turned red and wavy. I was reluctant to believe it at first but I was convinced by that it started and went away about when it was supposed to. But by that time I wasn't seeing it any more! Just my luck. I drove 350 miles to be in the path of totality for the eclipse and it clouded over. But I had fun eating and drinking and swapping stories with Susan and her friends and rels.
