Which is yet another example of how “natural law” is nothing but a set of clouds in which we see faces. Evolution is directionless and yet the temptation to impose a direction from “lower” to “higher” gave us the “scientific” racism of the 19th century, which clings to life yet as a means of self-aggrandizment for people with no accomplishments of their own about which they might rightly boast. When we stop ascribing our prejudices to “nature” we will be getting somewhere.

I see where you are going though — provoking backlash will make life even worse for the very people one is supposed to be supporting. I applaud anyone who tries to untie this knot.
