While I am much more alarmed than you, I rather admire that you knew you would be hammered in the responses but said what you wanted to say anyway. Additionally I found your style engaging so I breezed through it, actually laughing out loud a couple of times. That’s why I gave it a bunch of claps.

For me it’s like a beam with an indeterminate load bearing capacity.* Who is to say when it will give way? It’s still holding after four years, but who knows? I voted for Biden, donated to the Biden campaign, and even joined a phone bank (first time for me) because of my dread that a second Trump administration would suck even worse than the first. Yet as with you it would not be an existential threat. I am praying for a Biden victory decisive enough that we can be spared any of that extraneous bullshit that people are talking about. I’m not looking forward to having to go to Washington and get my head beaten in by Trump supporters, cops, or some combination of the two. At 70 I’m a little old for that shit.
