One thing I haven’t stressed is that whatever you do on a bike in traffic you have to maintain situational awareness and be ready for drivers to do damn near anything, such as run red lights, make left turns from the right hand lane and vise-versa, blow through stop signs, and — wave you on then abruptly do the very thing their wave implied that they would not do.

It’s why I long ago abandoned drop handle bars. I ride in traffic all the time and I don’t know how anyone would survive if they were looking down at the front wheel all the time. Anyway that will be an important part of part 3 — don’t say it lol — which will also discuss the navigation of those intersections — every city has them — that civil engineers pull direct from their nether regions.
