Yes! I bike in traffic and have found that the secret of staying safe is to go with the flow. As you said almost everyone is fine. In fact I often find myself complaining because people are too nice, for example stopping and waiting when they don’t have to, which means that I have to get back underway before I was intending to. Some people don’t get that if my foot is on the road then I am waiting.
