When I was in high school I didn't have to worry about being eaten by a lion. I had bullies eating me alive, for the first two and a half years anyway. There is physical survival, social survival, financial survival, oh wait, isn't that part of social survival? My head hurts already.

We sense that science and mathematics may take us outside the world of our perceptions and into the "real" world, assuming that concept means anything. Yet the deeper we delve into science and math the more counter-intuitive the "real" world becomes. Maybe God is trying to tell us something.
